Public speaking...

In middle school I took a class on public speaking.
We mainly played games.
Our only project was to do a commercial in front of the class.
I decided to team up with my best friend Lauren and do a hairspray commercial.
Lauren had long beautiful fine blonde hair.
When we got to class,
we had agreed that I would curl her hair with a hairbrush and hairspray.
In my mind it would look beautiful.
However,
I had never used hairspray before.
When we got to the front,
she sat down and I curled her long hair around the brush.
I sprayed her hair with a very generous amount of hairspray.
I then attempted to pull the brush out,
only to pull her hair and have her scream.
I spent a good five minutes trying to get that brush out of her hair.
No matter what I tried,
it was glued to her head.
I tend to laugh when embarrassed,
so the class had to struggle through a horrid presentation of my friend and me laughing so hard we couldn't talk.
When I finally gained control of my laughter,
I looked at the class and said,
"I guess maximum strength hairspray really works!"
Lauren had that brush in her hair until she could go home and take a shower.
That experience was so embarrassing that I cannot give a good presentation to this day.
