Something new...

Kail really wanted to go to the pretty Episcopal church.
I told her I would go with her.
We went in and I thought that the place was going to fill up.
So I led our group to the front and sat three seats away from the speaker.
Kail asked why we were so close.
I responded,
"We are right in front of the speaker!"
The service started shortly after.
We had no clue what to do.
I had to keep turning around during the service to see if we were to stand, sit, or kneel.
There were nine other people in the congregation.
Our group almost doubled their normal attendance.
I kept laughing during the service because I didn't know what to do.
During the prayer,
this man in the choir snorted really loudly,
and I just lost it.
It wasn't that the snort was gross,
it was that the snort sounded like a laugh,
and the part of the prayer was quite serious.
The priest spoke on Nathaniel,
but he went down an extreme rabbit trail about people going to Hell,
and then he said "but that's besides the point" and attempted to bring us back to the topic.
He had a great sound affect,
he said "and then whhhhiiiiiiiiissssssskkkkkk they are in hell."
Some of the songs we sang were so hard to sing because the organ was playing one tune,
but the choir was off in some other pitchland.
Then we got to communion.
I was getting really nervous during the whole service because I was sure I would mess up communion somehow.
Thankfully this little old lady shuffled down the aisle so she could go in front of us and show us what to do.
When the service was over,
all the people came and greeted us.
It was really a sweet church.
